We Remain

It’s been a long time.

I decided to post something here in defiance of the last few years. Like everyone else, a lot changed in 2019 and throughout 2020 especially. Now we’re well into 2021 and the world is trying to wake back up even as a darkness hovers over us.

It seemed an important time to simply declare, “We remain”. I remain. You remain.

Obviously, PaganCentric lost its way during this pandemic, like so many of us did. Somehow posting stories and comments about Pagan related issues seemed largely irrelevant in the face of literal millions of people dying from the COVID-19 virus worldwide (the last numbers I saw showed 4.2 million worldwide, and almost 620,000 just in the United States. Honestly, for me, personally, it felt simply obscene to pretend everything was business as normal, however desperately we might ache to get back to “normal”. I lost friends. I lost relatives. Many of us did.

But we remain.

You remain.

We have lost many along the way, but we remain.

I hope you thrive. I hope you are healthy. If nothing else, find some small comfort in knowing that there is someone out there who thinks of you and wishes you well, and that the world is a brighter, more wonderful place for the fact that you are still in it.

We will try to be more present. And we will see you throughout this and well to the other side of it.

P.S. I started writing this simply to mention that we’ve moved the web site onto a new server, and will be tweaking its appearance and all the many broken image links, and to ask you to bear with us. But it felt more important to just let you know that some of us are still dancing in the light of settings suns, and to invite you to continue to dance with us.
